Thoughts:

Before even getting a chance to separate the ziplock of the mylar, the strength of the sweet musky scent is already powering its way to my olfactory center. With the bag cracked open, I can sense the hints of lemon zest on top but still the sweetness of the myrcene comes through the strongest. Getting to the good stuff, the weight of the eighth is made up mostly of one massive, beautifully shaped bud with only two minor pieces scattered in the bag. It’s a pale, lively green with speckled dark spots and is coated in an impressive layer of trichomes. Applying some pressure to it, the cure on this one is very well done: squishy when pressed, no crackling or overdryness, and yet not overly moist so as to make me nervous to put it through the grinder. It looks so good, it hurts me to know I need to break it up.

After first putting fire to the flower, the smoke is a heavy, diesel like flavor indicative of an indica. Right off rip, there is an almost instant calm that has washed over me; in both the physical and emotional sense of the word. While the typical racing and rambling methods that my mind moves with have been slowed down and organized, the tensile and spastic attitude my body carries itself with has simultaneously been tamed, turning into a much more gentle and tranquil experience. The intensity of the high, I must say, even here at the doorway of the high, has already begun to impress me.

Having taken some time at cruising altitude, the testing on this one is no joke. While typically there is something of a ceiling on the heights that can be reached with flower, I must admit that the peak that this strain provides approaches what one may expect from concentrates. And the nature of that high is very body oriented. The feeling that has overtaken me is that of a grounding experience, like a million gravitational tethers gently pulling me to the earth. There are with that, heavy waves of euphoria that reverberate and reach so deep it’s as though I can feel that washing over my bones. This experience works both ways as well. My mind, which still sits in the serene effect from the start, feels as though it has been plucked from the busy universal stream of consciousness and placed in a chamber of tranquility. Thus leaving my thoughts unclouded and more easily deconstructed so as to better find the underlying subconscious that led to their being.

Now well past the highest point of the experience, the weight tying me down has begun to unspool. With that, the blissful slow hum that has entered my mind has also begun to unravel, returning me back to my sober mind. I will say, whereas that usually comes with a mental fog, I find myself feeling relatively refreshed which is a pleasant and well received surprise. There are some light hunger pangs to be dealt with, but nothing that cannot be overcome with a minor exercise of will. Overall, I am beyond impressed with Wonderbrett’s Ether. A very potent, well crafted, indica leaning hybrid experience that’s ideal for a relaxing evening.
